Fit any voiceover to an exact time — without the chipmunk effect
Audio2Time is a free online tool that makes a voiceover, narration or lector track land on an exact duration. Instead of crudely speeding the whole clip up (which raises the pitch and sounds like a chipmunk), it first removes the silences and pauses, then applies a small, pitch-preserving tempo change only if the remaining speech is still too long. The result is the length you asked for — to the second — with the voice sounding natural.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a voiceover fit an exact length?
Upload the recording and set the target duration. Audio2Time trims the silences and pauses first, then applies a gentle pitch-preserving tempo change only if needed, and pads or trims trailing silence so the output is exactly the length you asked for.
Will speeding it up make it sound higher-pitched?
No. Tempo is changed without changing pitch, so the voice keeps its original timbre. Speed-ups above +20% are flagged and above ×2 are refused, because speech stops being intelligible.
Can I fit narration to a specific video length?
Yes. Set the target to your video's duration (say 15 or 30 seconds). You can upload a video file directly — only its audio track is used.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's free and needs no account or signup. Files are processed automatically and deleted within a couple of hours.
Can it make a radio or TV ad exactly 30 seconds?
Yes — exact bumper and ad lengths like 6, 10, 15 and 30 seconds are the core use case, with TV/broadcast loudness at EBU R128 (−23 LUFS).
Can I process several files at once (batch)?
Yes. Drop multiple files and Audio2Time fits every one to the same target length and loudness, then lets you download them individually or all together as a ZIP.
Where is my audio processed — is it private?
Fitting runs on the server and files are auto-deleted within a couple of hours; no account is required. The optional "cut words" feature sends the audio to a third-party transcription API for word timings.
